Comey, Clapper, and Brennan may be not be back at the forefront but they may be "just offstage", and their well trained junior lieutenants will be stepping up.
Biden will continue to fade, but they'd continue to prop him up for a while. The VP (a black woman whose qualifications won't necessarily go beyond the color of her skin) will step in at some point, but make no mistake - she will take orders from a circle of "advisors" because her complicity has been agreed to prior to her selection.

Agree with the 2nd part but don't believe Biden's issues are overstated. If anything I think they're understated.
