We canceled a trip to Disney for my wife’s BDay next month. Going to Hammock Beach instead!

Our family use to love to take a week and go to all the parks. I’m excited to never go to Disney ever again! Won’t miss it for a second- screw ‘em!

It probably made sense at the time. It was a way for a reasonable and large company to acquire the land/services required to create a massive project.

To your point, it was a massive leap of faith. But they were buying and creating useful land from land that was almost entirely useless at the time. Still, promises were not kept by Disney even way back then.
