My take on it was it was a much better performance by Trump. He did amazing job of taking stupid shit questions and turning them into real discussions about policy. I only listen to the last 45 minutes but Trump really got him good by getting him to admit he would shut down the oil industry. He got Biden really good with the crime bill and he did a great job of pointing out over and over again that Joe has been in government for 47 years and now he’s suddenly going to come fix all these things when he didn’t fix them during the eight years he was in office.

And I will call a spade a spade, I did not like trumps performance the last time but I thought his performance this time was outstanding.

I think Trump won that debate. Particularly on the topics of people actually care about.

I thought Biden looked like a politician and Trump looked genuine. You can always tell old Joe is lying by the amount of “come on man!” remarks, and he made a lot of them. Biden stuttered and had that distant look in eyes. The Paris Accord was a win for Trump, and the oil industry shutdown remark by Biden was really bad. I thought Trump decisively won by making Biden look like a politician that was dishonest, corrupt, and all talk.

I lost count of how many times Joe brought up Scranton.
And then he talked about growing up in Delaware, not Pennsylvania. I think a great line in response to that two minute talk about the pollution on the Delaware river and growing up in Delaware would’ve been for Trump to say

Well at least you finally admitted she didn’t grow up in Scranton Joe

Yeah, he couldn’t get his story straight where he grew up. I’m surprised Trump didn’t recognize that and jump on it.

I can only imagine there’s so much going on in that hour and a half and so many things you have to think about and react to he can’t catch everything. But objectively I think Trump won that debate hands-down. Whether it will impact the election or not 1 50 million people of already voted, I don’t know. I wish these debates were out a couple of months earlier. But I hope it does because it’s clear Trump has a better plan in my opinion than Biden. And as Trump would say, but he’s had 47 years and hasn’t accomplished any of these things that he keeps talking about wanting to do. Why would we think he would Do it now.

He didn't have to. He let Joe get caught in his own web.

Oil slicks on the window...Ok Joe.
Yeah...that was nuts...and the entire line of questions about living near oil refineries was sketchy...so minorities are forced to live next to them? Did they just move there in January of 2017? Or did they live there during Joe's 47 years in DC?
No white folks live near there? Don't those facilities offer good paying jobs? So white people DONT want to live close to work?

I think $8 per hour Mexican First Responders live there.

Same guy who told us that is the same guy who called the other guy a xenophobic all while calling North Koreans thugs all in the same breath.

I mean the NK politicians are thugs but had Donald called the NK's thugs it would have been the headlines.

Wasn't this the same administration who gave N Korea tons of money only to witness Kim Jong Un use it to build more missiles? Well before Trump met with Kim, every liberal was instantly a sympathizer for Kim and N Korea. CNN and some other news outlets even creamed over Kim's sister during the winter olympics. All of a sudden, N Korea and Kim Jong Un are thugs?

Since I know you guys will only read the OAN version, I thought I’d share the NYT for an unbiased take ;)

The final debate
Last night’s presidential debate felt much more normal than this year’s first one. The candidates interrupted each other only occasionally rather than constantly. They argued about big policy issues like the coronavirus, foreign policy and more.
But the debate wasn’t normal by the standards of nearly all of American history. It wasn’t normal because one of the nominees — the sitting president — told one lie after another. He did so about the virus, North Korea, China, Russia, climate change, his own health care policy, Joe Biden’s health care policy, Biden’s finances and the immigrant children who were separated from their parents.
I understand you may be tired of hearing about President Trump’s untruths. I’m tired of writing about them. They hardly qualify as surprising anymore.
But it’s impossible to analyze a debate filled with untruths without first acknowledging them. They undermine an event meant to highlight differences between candidates. They undermine democracy. To ignore them is to miss the biggest story: a president trying to construct his own reality.
How are voters supposed to choose between, say, two different health care plans if one candidate makes up stories about both plans?
No previous president has behaved this way. Democrats often accused George W. Bush of lying, and Republicans accused Barack Obama of lying. And both men made questionable statements and statements that later proved untrue. But when they proved untrue, Bush and Obama stopped making the claims. Trump just keeps making them.

Well that’s not a news article this opinion piece. Do you have a news article to share?

Also all the snap poles I’ve seen, and very few of them came from conservative news sources, showed trump winning the debate 75% to 25%. So no matter how you want to spinet today Trump won the debate. At least according to the American people, which theoretically is how these things are still judged.

Well this debate wasn’t aimed at trying to change an ideologue’s mind. He’s already lost. But since he runs $1 billion company I guess it doesn’t matter much to him either way.

Although I hope none of his business relies on the oil industry since Biden is going to phase that out in five years.

I like my burger just like my women. A little pink in the middle. Get to it

Why did they choose Biden? Bernie, Klobuchar and Gabbard would have been far better candidates while giving Trump better debates than Joe. Joe got owned like a b!tch during the primaries.

I don’t know, I’m not a democrat .... you‘d have to pose that question to one of them.
My guess is maybe he is the easiest of them for the party to control behind the scenes.

Did you really need to ask? Think for just a moment.

The U. S. average IQ is 98. Guess who dwells mostly below the mean number of 98? There you go. You guessed it.

Dims being awfully quiet. Think most are sitting around after the debate trying to figure out how to make the turd (hiden) smell better. Problem is, it’s a turd.

I said I wasn't going to say anything until after the election, but, because of your inane remark I changed my mind. We the Dems are not sitting around trying to figure out anything. I will give you the fact that Rump did better on this debate than he did on the first. However he still interrupted on just about every exchange and brought up questions on subjects discussed 2 or 3 questions back and not relevant to the subject under discussion. in addition the moderator was not able to stop him. I am glad you and your cronies think the election is all over but I prefer to wait so I don't feel like an idiot if by chance we lose. That's all sir. Good luck.

No one said anything about winning, just that you can’t make a turd (hiden) smell good. It’s laughable and obvious that dims vote on emotion not logic. Why? “Trumps mean”. “Joe has dementia but he is nice”

I'm honestly scared...in my 40 plus years of being alive I thought GW was the dumbest POTUS...and he wasn't "that bad"...now a huge chunk of the population is about to elect this idiot?

I don't care how one grades the debate. I don't care how one fact checks Trump. In this segment of the debate, Joe Biden looked like a total fool.

Check any old posts of mine. I'm not an all red republican. Never have been never will be. I honestly wish their was a way more people would open their eyes to 3rd party candidates. I mean Jo Jorgensen isn't sounding too bad. Despite all of that, a large portion of the population honestly want Joe Biden as president?

As somebody that’s probably more libertarian than anything else I would love the Libertarian party to become a power but in order to do so it would mostly cannibalize the Republican Party and then we would be stuck with demented president. The numbers with the Libertarian party has never gotten above 5% which mostly cannibalizes the Republican Party. I do think the Republican Party has moved towards the Libertarian party which is good news but at the same time the Democrats to move towards a socialist. So while I get where you’re coming from the reason why I don’t vote for the Libertarian candidate is I don’t want to waste my vote at this important time.

And I wish more true libertarians would realize this.

Psychology 101. When someone angrily responds to accusations. It usually means there is something to it.
Oh absolutely. First thought that went through my head. Hell, Shakespeare first recorded that phenomenon 500 years ago, methinks thou dost protest too much........

As well as the 500 classic non-denial denial’s. And there is the main stream media, just pushing whatever he says is truth. It’s disgusting what’s happened to the concept of an independent free media as the fourth estate
