The funny part is Dwag sports became one of, if not, the very first to actually report this.

Spurrier to Redskins
Zook to Illinois
Meyer to pOSU
Muschamp to SC after AU OC gig
Butters McElwain to Central Michigan

Now we have Mullen, hired as OC at a high school.

Wonder how the salaries compare ?

HC UF - $6mm/year
OC Lake Oconee Academy - $50K ?

He must really love coaching or figure some 3rd string TV network will need a talking head -
If he brushes up on women's basketball, volleyball, softball, etc. he could land a job as an analyst with ESPNU; unless some great looking former women's athlete gets there first.

Lighten up guys, it's not like he needs the money, or needs any stress after his treatment by Socialist-U and their 'entitled' fans.... He went through 2 years of scamdemic, and they didn't provide him with 50+ off field helpers to prop up the program....

If I was Dan (which I'm obviously not), I'd be in a front porch cabin rocking chair, enjoying my millionaire time off....
Good on him that he's instead choosing to help out with his time and vast coaching experience.

Lake Oconee Academy is a public charter school serving residents of Greene County, GA. Therefore, there are no tuition or fees (save those required for extracurricular activities, if applicable). LOA does not discriminate against any student on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender or disability.

The Academy will incorporate common sense and proven principles, such as a research-based curriculum, high expectations for students, both academically and behaviorally, an emphasis on outstanding school leadership and faculty, and parental involvement. The culture of the Academy is built on these fundamental principles.

Are any of his kids going there? If so, that might help to explain why he's the OC there. If they are paying him anything, it's just his out to dinner mad-money at this point....

It's not exactly difficult to piss away $12 million. The Cousin sure loves his vacations and hot yoga classes along with whatever he's blowing his money on.

He's not the OC, he's just "helping"

Yea, he toured the school with his son and people ran with the idea that he was hired as an OC. It just shows how the media strives to be "first" rather than accurate.

Afterwards the school went on record saying he was never hired, but would offer his advice.

All in all, I find that perfectly normal for any high profile coach who has kids at that age.
