Bad news for the war apparatus.
They are going to be in high gear restocking from Ukraine and Israel. The bad news is the time it takes. The good news, maybe, is that it might get the NGAD and the drones back into high gear. Cheaper, mass produced , stealthy, expendable and hopefully quickly built. Also this lights a fire under them to start using our own rare earth minerals instead of letting China control the market and our security. I read where we have a ton of untapped lithium in several states. Mine baby mine and drill baby drill. Oh and if Trump gets them to finally pay their way it will mean more sales of our weapons to Europe. I think the war apparatus will be just fine.
Question is will America be fine? Color me skeptical because both sides are blind. The left have their global socialist dreams. Its unsustainable, brings about poverty and is frankly evil in it seeks to enslave. Our side wants to blame our debt on global engagement and our military. Pat Buchanan would be proud. Reagan not so much. Well Trump isn't Buchanan nor is he Reagan so I see both of us being a little disappointed but also mostly happy.
Its domestic spending on the welfare state, bailouts at every economic hiccup and entitlements that is killing and will kill us. 30T+ of our 36T of debt is due to the welfare state. 2T of debt based unconstitutional spending on domestic programs is almost 3x the amount spent on the constitutionally mandated 700B in military spending aka the war apparatus. I am looking forward to seeing the tangible assets of my tax dollars again this summer. Blue Angels come to town again.
But we can both agree and hope that Trump brings peace to Ukraine and Israel while getting us back on track economically. We sure as hell knew that the dems could not do it.
