Martin O'Malley. Discuss

What is there to say? Wasn't he part of the political structure that has given us modern-day Baltimore?

More recently though his spineless apology for having the audacity to say all lives matter should disqualify him from any further consideration for highest office in the land (or any other office for that matter). If you don't have the balls to tell a handful of nutjobs to go pound sand, you cannot be entrusted to stand up for American interests dealing with the likes of Putin, the mullahs, and the ChiComms.

Much of Baltimore wasn't good news long before he arrived. When you have a city with too much poverty and too much crime, with areas even the police won't go into, what else do you expect?

Any thoughts on the following:
1. climate change led to ISIS?
2. apologizing for saying "All lives matter"?

In other words....he did little to improve the situation and the problems persisted.

Pretty much....although he is not the only person to have done so.

That city is not going to get better. There's just too much wrong with it. It's a classic" broken beyond repair" story, and no republican or democrat is going to do much about it.

I think we've gotten to a point where decent people don't get into politics. Last couple of decades, I've been picking the asswipe least likely to harm my family.

Baltimore has been awful since at least colonial times.

In John E. Ferling's book, A Leap in the Dark, various Congressmen were noted to have had their own problems in Charm City, USA:

Nevertheless, the congressmen suffered through their two-month residency in Baltimore, which one described as a "dirty infamous extravagant hole." [John] Hancock complained that lodging could be found only in a neighborhood inhabited by "Whores & Thieves," and indeed on his second day in town a "Trunk with Linnen, Books, papers, some hard Money, &c" was stolen from his quarters. At the end of February, amid great rejoicing, Congress returned to the Pennsylvania State House. A veteran congressman from Virginia, who admitted to never having previously liked Philadelphia, confessed his joy at the move and his delight in abandoning "cursedly Vex'd Baltimore."

He says this like it is a bad thing.

Discuss? Three words. **** that guy.

Oh, but he's SUCH a cutie. Riigghhht.
Maryland: Horrible high taxes, lots of smug jerks who work for the Fed government and a lawless hellhole nicknamed Charm City.

The guy passed a tax on rain while Governor. He created 40 new taxes as Governor. Passed the millionaires tax just to see the rich move across the river to VA. He's the epitome of a tax and spend Dem.

I'm sure that was a shocking development.

It's just the shortsightedness. The majority of MD Millionaires live in the DC Suburbs, so it was quite easy to move and still not be far from work.

So, think about O'Malley and how the ground is shifting ever so slightly on that side of the aisle.
Hill's email problems are growing, not shrinking.
Bernie is playing to max crowds but they are the more extreme of the extreme. If the party believes he is actually going somewhere, we will be treated to an object lesson of how to take out someone with no hesitation. Bernie is not the face of their brand. And he's old.
Biden? Looking like he won't get into this thing.
Gore? R U F'n serious?
Kerry? Oh, please, yes.
Warren? Why not just trot out a hammer and sickle campaign poster?
Jim Webb? Hey, there are some RINOS who would vote for him, but he won't get traction.
Lincoln Chafee? Uh, who?
O'Malley is younger, telegenic, plays the guitar like a rock n roll guy, has decided to bow and scrape to Black Lives Matter. Elites would accept him if he is the nominee. The uber lefties in the party won't be happy but I think that there are some folks around who

Martin could step into this thing. Her Thighness is not looking like a winner at the moment. She is dour, arrogant, pissed because she has to get off her duff and campaign.

Funny, somehow extremely strict gun control, appeasement to rioters, and leaving cops out to be defenseless have made things worse there....never saw that coming.

He didn't fix Baltimore, his predecessor Bob Ehrlich didn't fix Baltimore, and the current governor Larry Hogan isn't fixing it either.

Larry Hogan has other things happening in his life at the moment. If he can't win his battle with cancer, he isn't going to fix anything.

That is true, but the riots that went on there for a few months couldn't have helped his health either. It's tough to govern when your body is under that much stress.

That she should have to actually earn it........the very idea!!!!!

LOL....and now O'Malley is calling for MORE gun control....he already achieved a gun grabbers wet dream of gun control when Gov, and somewhat as Baltimore's mayor as well. While mayor he had an opportunity to implement a proven plan by David Kennedy, but he didn't want that, he wanted something different. All this guy wants is to take away guns...his goal is not safety or reducing crime. So typical of the left.

There are three gun rights bills floating around the Florida legislature right now, one that prohibits officers from arresting concealed weapons carriers who are licensed( for some reason your license is your defense in court but the cops can still arrest you even though you are legally carrying.) The other two are campus carry bills, one in the Senate, one in the House.

OK to me that 1st one is just stupid. If u have the license seems that should be plenty good enough.

Politicians were involved, does that really surprise you? There's a open carry provision snuck in there too, but only if you have a concealed weapons permit. The old rules still apply though, you can open carry on your way to, while engaging in, and on your way back from target shooting, fishing, hunting, and camping without a license.

Just curious, do you care about any issues besides gun control? You seem to be obsessed with it. There are other important issues out there you know.
