What's the deal if he's hurt before he signs the contract? I assume there are rookie protections/insurance in place?

Looks like the Jags still gave him the max amount for his slot, and the max guaranteed money as well, with no strings attached.
The kid is a real talent. I really wished the Titans would have taken him, but the current front office, and coaching staff, took Mariota instead, to buy themselves a couple more years. What would have helped the Titans in the long term would have been to have a stud, who plays like his hair is on fire, instead of a guy who they've already had to dumb down the playbook for.
Fowler is the real deal and wish him the best of luck in his career. He deserves it...even if he did play for that garbage team in Gainesville. ;-)
